James’ two latest albums, Beethoven Violin Sonatas Nos 1–3 and Vaughan Williams The Lark Ascending have both been selected as Editor’s Choice recordings in the December issue of Gramophone magazine. Both albums were released on Onyx Classics in October 2019.
Beethoven Sonatas Nos 1–3 is the second recording in James’ sonata cycle with long-time collaborator Andrew Armstrong.
